Yes. Your archive is private by default. Only the people you invite can see it — there's no public feed, no discovery, and no sharing to the open internet.
The free plan includes 50 photos, up to 5 family members, and every core feature — people, events, timeline, and the family tree. Keeper ($10/month) unlocks unlimited photos, unlimited members, and video.
It's shared across your whole family. Everyone you invite uploads into the same archive, and all photos count toward the single 50-photo free limit — inviting more people doesn't add more storage. When your growing family outgrows the free tier, Keeper lifts the limit entirely.
On the free plan, up to 5 members total (including you). Keeper removes the limit — invite the whole family. Inviting members is always free; you're never charged for adding people.
Video is a Keeper feature. On Keeper you can upload videos up to 2 GB each, alongside your photos. The free plan is photos-only.
A Curator is a trusted family member you give extra powers to — they can add people, tag photos, organize, and help tend the archive, but they can't manage billing. Curators are a Keeper add-on at $5/month each, and you promote them from your members list. Regular members are always free.
The archive owner and any Curators can manage and delete content. Regular members can add and edit, but can't remove others' contributions. Only the owner controls billing and the plan.
Your family's archive is never orphaned. If the owner ever removes their account, ownership automatically passes to the longest-standing remaining member, so the family always keeps access.
You'll be gently stopped from adding more — nothing is deleted, and nothing is charged automatically. You simply choose whether to upgrade to Keeper for unlimited space, or keep things as they are.
You generate a private invite link and share it however you like — text, email, or a message. Whoever opens it creates an account (or signs in) and joins your family archive as a member.
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password, enter your email, and we'll send you a link to set a new one. The link is single-use and expires after an hour.
The archive owner can manage the subscription anytime from the upgrade page, which opens a secure billing portal. You can update payment details or cancel there; your archive stays intact.
